Former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill is reportedly joining WWE after her departure from All Elite Wrestling. The talented wrestler was reportedly scheduled to be at the WWE Performance Center this week.
Veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer shared an update on Cargill during a recent broadcast on “Wrestling Observer Radio.”
“She was in Orlando today [September 18], right? I checked if she was at the Performance Center. Some people didn't see her, but that doesn't necessarily mean she wasn't there.
They told me that 'They didn't see her, but that doesn't mean she wasn't present.' Right now, they are working on high-level creative ideas for her debut.
This is significant, as they are not bringing her in just to fill out the roster without a clear plan, as has happened with some talents previously.”
In the previous edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer mentioned that the impression had been created within WWE that Cargill was destined for the main roster and she would not be assigned to the “WWE NXT” brand.
WWE has reportedly secured Cargill in a major deal and plans to give him an immediate boost upon her arrival.
A sign that further strengthens these rumors is the removal of Jade Cargill from AEW's online roster page.
This practically confirms that her last match in Tony Khan's promotion took place last Friday at “AEW Rampage”, where she unsuccessfully challenged Kris Statlander for the AEW TBS Championship.
